This would actually be a pretty interesting set-up for a another Paper Mario game.

Peach turning back into Shadow Queen due to residual darkness amplifying her jealousy or something along those lines. Or maybe Bowsette just kidnaps Mario and Peach has to save him like in her last game, but, she gets a Shadow Queen mode like Dark Jak.
