Goblin Slayer, these guys are far stronger than the Goblin Champion that nearly killed you. You'd be dead before you hit the ground, so don't bother trying to tangle with these badasses. Especially if you don't want a certain Slime to kill you instantly on sight.
You guys underestimate the power of rage incarnate
It's a fair estimation really. GS always works under the assumption that goblins aren't bright but not dumb either. Pitting him against actually intelligent goblins puts him at a severe disadvantage.
To put it bluntly, Rimuru's Goblins are Saints compared to GS Goblins. Too bad the Goblin Slayer won't think that way. At least the Idea of Rimuru Tempest vs the Goblin Slayer would be an exciting Fight.

It's been a few years since I read goblin slayer, but I'm like 99% sure any fight between him and the Tempest crew would be a nigh-instantaneous curb stomp. Gobuta is literally the butt-monkey of the group and even he can still do shit like shadow teleportation.

That's a pretty curb stompy fight, and not in GS's favor. Their worlds simply scale too differently; GS's world is geared towards your average D&D adventuring party, more or less. Rimuru's world is closer to Exalted in terms of how ridiculous entities can be.
