Bono is startlingly nonchalant about losing an eye. I think I'd probably take a few days off if that happened to me.
When it happens like once every 5 days, you'll get used to it. Like how my toe was first swelling up because a part of my toe nail started to keeps an open wound from healing. It hurt when it first started, but by year 3, I realized I can't constantly feel pain there anymore, not until it's touched, even slightly. It's like I got so used to it, I practically forgot it's there until I'm reminded about it.
