I often have worn my clothes to bed enough times that it became a semi-lazy habit even when I don't have to. The clothes just feel like a second skin frankly. As long as you have a light blanket/bag or are sleeping somewhere cold like outside you don't sweat. Its fairly comfortable even when wearing a dress shirt. You can smooth clothes down in a hurry by dragging yourself forward when you get up too. I also tend to use some baking soda as a neutral deodorant after I shower and it keeps me from smelling even sometimes for days. Clearly it isn't sanitary to go past a day without washing and changing clothes, but sometimes it is necessary for people in temporary live-at-work situations. Although in the wilderness it is actually potentially more sanitary to keep clothes on since clothes are usually treated with permethrin to keep all the creepy crawlies from feasting on you.

I think the Austrians have a military sleeping bag which is basically just a jacket that folds up around the user. I always thought that was cool but I never bought or used one.
