You'd think that Sakuya's time stop would make her the winner, but she's gotten owned by so many people over the years it's laughtable.

Just recently she got beaten up by one of the moon sisters in the SSiB official comic...although, come to think of it the moon sisters are pretty hax so maybe that's a bad example.

Besides, Sakuya has never used her time stop ability (so far) to just walk up to someone and stab them, she always uses it to either teleport or leave knives here and there. That sounds pretty counterable.

I still say it'd be a pretty close fight.

Why would they fight at all? The only way out of this situation I can see is consensual rape*.

Wrong. One of his supers in Melty Blood has him throwing his knife at the enemy quickly, and then moving so fast to attack physically that he hits them at the same time the thrown knife does.

Technically that's so they can have their necks torn off easily by the sheer force of his pull and the knife hitting bone.
Real Shiki actually loses to this in Kagetsu Tohya. Same with 17 Dissection, but that was Crimson Moon and she was merely playing around as much as she could.

let's see, the first time she was beaten was by Remilia a vampire who controls fate and more likely than not made her come to fight her in the first place.
Second time by Reimu during EoSD, but we all know Reimu>Everybody -we could say Marisa too, but most people prefer Marisa dealing with Flandre-.
Then she was beaten by Suika, but the oni who took over Gensokyo with nobody noticing anything.
Finally, she was beaten by a celestial being who could have destroyed Gensokyo if she had been bored enough, instead of only destroying Reimu's shrine.

That's because Remilia makes her fight through the Spell Card System. Reimu installed the SC so she wouldn't have to kill everybody who messed with her, and the youkai were all too happy to comply... well, except the male youkai, but that may be why there's only Rinnosuke in Gensokyo.

As I see it, Sakuya likes her fights fair and square, no "godmoding" to win.

I don't think Nanaya would win. Even if it wasn't Shmups, he'd still be projectile whored and Sakuya is roughly as fast as he is. If he was Satsujinki it'd be different story, but all Nanaya has going for him is speed and skill. If he's not TATARI, he's pretty much Satsujinki.

It seems that Nanaya's fate is to lose to females of equal or greater badass stature. Seems to be like this from all the Ryougi vs Nanaya topics I've read (hell even Nasu said he'd lose)...and its the same with Sakuya vs Nanaya, I guess.

As for danmaku... I'd like to see Sakuya avoid his final spell card. TOHNO GLAND ACTIVATE!

Option 2: Nanaya reached Sakuya she doesn't get a chance to stop time. He tears her apart with that smirk never leaving his face.

Sakuya might be good with a knife but her speed revolves around stopping time then doing her knifing business so this fight all depends on stopping time quick enough or just missing your shot at it and getting shredded by a killer.

This. Sakuya is hardly slow without time stop, hell, she can freakin' fly and dodge danmaku as well as any other Touhou playable character so she is definitely fast as hell even without time stop. No way is Nanaya shanking her before she freezes time and kills him.

The only reason she doesn't just kill you while time is stopped is because Spell Card Rules makes it illegal to use any attack that is flat out impossible to dodge (which time stop-shanking would be), but unless Nanaya is playing by Spell Card Rules (in which case he gets projectile-whored to death), he's gonna get his head chopped off without ever realizing what happened.

Sakuya's time stop would be considered insanely high-level magic in the Nasuverse. The best we have seen in canon is Kiritsugu's time accel (which is just doubling and tripling his speed), and that doesn't even come close to comparing to a full-out time stop.

Shiki just has badass fighting skills.

Sakuya has badass fighting skills, flying, magical knife spamming, manipulation of space (she makes the inside of the mansion larger than it is on the outside) and time stop. She also has experience against a bunch of haxxed and powerful enemies (whereas Nanaya is just limited to Shiki's experiences fighting Roa, SHIKI, Chaos, and Tatari).

Oh, and Sakuya could have killed Yorihime if they weren't fighting under Spell Card Rules. She froze time and when it resumed she was holding a knife to a shocked Yorihime's throat. On top of that, Remilia wanted to be the one to defeat her, so Sakuya never intended to win. She dragged the fight out, Yorihime figured out she was stopping time, so she summoned a god who could control metal to stop Sakuya's knives and created an attack that surrounded Sakuya entirely so she couldn't escape with time stop.

Sakuya lost to Tenshi because Tenshi is a Celestial and her skin is literally so hard Sakuya's knives can't scratch it. Same problem with Suika.

She lost to Reimu because of Spell Card Rules making it illegal to just shank her while time is frozen (of course, Reimu can also become intangible indefinitely without Spell Card Rules so it'd come down to who used their hax first if the two ever fought seriously).
