She still has her braids, they're pulled behind her head. I don't think she's actually genderswapped here, I think she's just wearing men's clothing.
Edit: Machine translation says the commentary is something about men's clothes, and the dialogue sounds to me like she was trying out the look. I'm gonna change the relevant tags.
