Even though the Leopold D-Evo has that whole EOTech futuristic look, it kind of sucks with the whole battery life and size. The magnifier is cool, and luckily you can just drop that in front of any red dot sight you may already have. I just wish for the price they would have made it with throw levers and a tritium or at least fiber optic insert.

You are correct, that is what it looks like. I didn't realize Vortex made a clone, I only had experience with the Leopold. Looking at the specs, it seems to be a better designed red dot than the Leopold at almost half the price. Kind of sad. I'm more of a Trijicon fan though, like I think the MRO is a lot better design. I did buy myself a D-EVO magnifier clone (china, ~$110) and slapped it in front of my MRO. I really like it so far. Wicked easy to use setup for 7.62x35, red dot for subs or close range supers, and magnifier for precise shots or longer range supers.
