I'm getting a bad feeling about this... like some new menace is going to kidnap the boy while Mordred is asleep (which would drive her nuts with guilt, until perhaps an Artoria slaps some sense back into her).

I'm not so sure about that. With the kid in her arms sleeping, anyone taking him would have to wake up Mo-tan. Wake her up that way and you will get your ass kicked. She might be the best defense the child has right now.
