Sikiso Kazami (17) Protagonist of Chronicles of the Ocean Youkai. Species: Human(?) Lives alone with her adoptive grandmother. Sikiso was found collapsed on the beach by an old lady, who took her in. The 8-year-old girl had no memory of her past, save for her first name. Perhaps due to her mysterious origins, it often felt like Sikiso didn't leave much impact on the world. Most people tended to keep their distance from her. She also possesses the ability to sense things others cannot see, which manifested as a strange, wriggling sensation. Even she herself didn't know how she could do this or what it might mean. For most of her life, Sikiso avoided asking questions about her past, afraid of what she might discover. Remaining aloof and emotionally detached, the one person she truly cared about was her kindly old grandmother, the woman who raised her. All that changed when a series of unexpected events brought her into contact with a certain youkai and opened her eyes to another realm. Ever since, Sikiso has been taking much more interest in the world around her. Investigating the various folklore around her hometown of Yuumi-chou brings her into contact with all kinds of new faces, human and youkai alike.
