I notably don't want to get into any debates, I find it interesting that I always see people refer to Crim as "he", since Crim also has (small?) breasts and a vagina. We can also speculate that Crim possibly also has a fully functional womb, since everything else works just fine.

The character fills a male role, and identifies to other characters as male (though not for reasons of self-identity, they don't seem discomforted by it).

True yeah. Crim goes by he so the guys in the group don't try to bang "him". Though I'm honestly surprised that gender is even a barrier for everyone in the group besides seemingly Crim, given how sexually open and diverse they tend to be.

And yet party still gives Crim funny looks when they try to pick some... "too open" options. Like in "Genderswap" episode party even considered Crim as "rain-bo" material.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "even considered Crim as"rain-bo" material". Also yeah the party giving Crim funny looks is part of what I meant. That part of the episode was really odd to me, because I thought they'd be fine with Crim going for sexual exploration...which is kind of the entire point of the series.

I think that was more due to Crim's pick of a hyena girl, since they went from a rollercoaster ride of "does he know about Hyenas" to "He totally knows about Hyenas, he's more pervy than we gave him credit for!"

Not really, the show isn't about sexual exploration. It's about having sex with girls of different species, and seeing which one is the most enjoyable. None of the guys wanted anything to do with dudes while they were genderswapped, they all picked women, because they weren't interested in messing with someone else's dick, and encouraged Crim to do the same. They're not trying to expand their horizons or become more understanding, they're just looking for different ways to get off, while getting paid for it.

Them labeling Crim as a "Rain-bo", because he knowingly chose a female with a dick with the intention of being penetrated, meant, as they even explained it earlier in the episode, that Crim was fine with having sex with both genders. This was surprising to the other characters because as far as they know, Crim is strictly male and straight, but Crim is a hermaphrodite who only acts as a male to hide that fact.

Even before the Hyena the party was giving Crim weird looks for considering choosing a male partner, or a female that got turned into a male (in a same manner the party got turned into females in that episode). Which is why Crim didn't choose that and instead chose the Hyena.

I think the series does involve a lot of exploration, by the very nature of trying different brothels. They try out different brothels and new experiences to see what they're like. For example trying out how a harpy's cloaca feels. Or in this episode specifically, they try out a potion that makes them into a woman. In part, and they even say this, because they want to see what it's like to be a woman and have sex as one. So I don't think it's entirely wrong for me to find it weird that the party freaks out a bit over the idea of one of them wanting to have sex with a man in this situation. Maybe we don't agree here, and that's fine, I just see this series differently than you do. As I said in my first comment, I rather avoid getting into a big debate.

In anime at the end of "Genderswap" episode from party's perspective we see more "girlish" Crim with the exact same rainbow that was used during explaination of the term "rain-bo". Hence, my "weird dot connection".
