A few notable exceptions to that exist, including the brain.
You do not grow new brain cells since puberty (or earlier, I forget). In fact, thanks to various lifestyle habits and the natural aging process, you have many fewer brain cells now than you did last year.

Actually, research in the past decade has shown that you CAN regrow neurons and other parts of the brain. However, unless you take care of it, it will deteriorate much faster than it can repair.

Also, I'd poke her in her sleep, IYKWIM.

Since she is asleep, she won't remember her future self touching her. Since she won't remember, when she grows older and goes back to the past from the future, she will poke herself again.

Thus, creating an infinite time loop throughout the many universes of Mikuru Asahina.
