You had the wrong kana; that's 和は, not 和な. I'm not 100% on my translation of it, however; it keeps feeling like too much got cut off his sentence.

In this case, it's Nodoka's name (原村 和).

Yeah, my kana identification skills were adversely affected by my complete bafflement trying to figure out what the heck the kanji 和 was doing there.
