Apparently, she is the one who created the Yin-Yang Orb Reimu uses, technically making her a god of the Hakurei Shrine. Of course she's not THE god of Hakurei Shrine, but it's an interesting piece no less.

Getting hit over and over by indestructible yin-yang orbs brought back some painful Highly Responsive to Prayers memories.

Maybe she’s neither knows, or inspired the Hakkurei God/goddess about the idea of the yin-yang orbs, in order to help Reimu (or, any previous shrine maiden before her) to protect Gensokyo?
