Or, it's because Jade is to his right... I'd be scared if Colonel Jade was next to me.

Going to bed in the same room as Jade is a good way to wake up vivisected.

If he's scared of sleeping in the same bed as women, that's kind of sad. Even if there are three girls in the bed, there's still one guy (and Ion) in separating them from him.

I think the real question is why they're all sleeping together in the first place. Most of them (aside from Anise and Ion) seem like they would be against this kind of thing.

i recall a side quest late in the game that involved a sleepover at the cathedral being suggested. so maybe this is it?
