That is what traps are for (even if in this case the character is just quite feminine and can still be seen as a male(I mean the original character, not this genderswapped version)). They are to confuse you, and also to represent beauty and proof that they are not inferior to female in term of beauty.

For real, I really like the design of this protagonist. Looking feminine, but can still show himself to be strong and fierce.
