    The Unconquered King

    No matter how crushing the defeat, no matter how vexing the humiliation, the King yet stands unconquered with her head unbowed.

    Reference to the nickname of both the umamusume and the real-life horse, who both had talent and potential but suffered a long string of defeats because of bad luck and other cirumstances, yet still preservered until the end. All the while keeping their head unbowed, or so the legend goes.
