That makes so much damned sense it isn't even funny. I mean, Dio being a massive asshole is very much Jojo canon, and I wouldn't put it past him to treat any kids he has like shit. I don't blame Sakuya in the least for hating his guts.

Funny how Dio hated his father and even killed him, while Sakuya, Dio's daughter in this comic, is trying to do the same. Ironic how Dio became a bad father as his own father was.

Almost seemed like natural progression for Dio. Even though he wanted to get away from his dad's aggressive and rude lifestyle, that was everything he learned from him. He would've ended up as a drunkard if it weren't for the stone mask as well.
