It's been ages since the last news about shinano is even being talked, and now the foreign ships is flooding instead, such a sad time
Well, aside from Shinano the game has all of the IJN's capital ships from WWII. Heck, I think they've got most of the cruisers. At this point, the Japanese ships left to go are mostly cheap late-war destroyers, escort ships, auxiliary ships, and submarines. And a lot of those don't make that big of waves with the fans. Who do you think is going to get more attention: USS Massachusetts or Kaiboukan #27?
No clue why it's taking so long with Shinano, though. I suspect it's because things are a mess at Kadokawa.

Last i heard Kancolle twitter said she was already complete as a character and ready to ship at any moment.
