Just by the way, in the Broken Steel addon Sarah Lyons survives but will be rendered unconscious until the end of the main quest - she's lying on a bed like this. I just love Sawao's ideas :>
Funny part was I had the nude bodies patch so when it started she was completely naked, uncovered, with her. . . feminity pointing straight out the door, and her father was standing right there, chatting with me non-concernedly.

There's a console command that copies an NPC's facial geometry, if you've got PC. Check the fallout wiki for it.
