Damn gotta give Meiling credit, that's a lot of pain for a kiss.

Who came to the mansion that could do that. Looks like she is hiding the injuries from Sakuya, this could be very touching when translated, then again it already is

this belongs in the heart-warming pool. It's really touching to deal with all that pain for a kiss

Yeah... I was thinking the same. This could belong in both Heart-warming and Soul-crushingly depressing, cuz it's making me quite depressed.

I think in this case Meiling is very worried about Sakuya's health and knows that she would try and tend to her (Meiling's) wounds if she knew it was really as bad as it appears to be.

At the same time Sakuya knows Meiling is hiding how hurt she really is from her.

At first it was Heart-warming, but ultimately if this were added to a pool it's quite Soul-crushingly Depressing.

    Goddamn BAD END

His previous works were really bad after battle scenes but this time its really bad, and to think I thought it was touching potentially heart warming.

    Indeed, both heart warming and depressing, my favorite kind. Tears for Meiling. ;_;

Jesus, who's attacking the gates, the Mongel Horde?! And why would you do that, to get your ass handed to you by vampires?! I want to beleive the lighter option(that Meiling jas a lot of ochies and doesn't want Sakuya to worry) but that text about her being busy tonight and the tear, it's rather worrisome.

I still think "won't be coming back tonight" is as simple as it seems. She just means tonight.

Sakuya needs rest and if Meiling was there bleeding all over the place, Sakuya would worry and not get the rest she needed. At the same time Sakuya knows Meling is hurt badly and is telling her she knows and don't be stupid and go off somewhere and die just because you are worried that I am not feeling well.

This is exactly what I have been thinking, was also wondering if it had something to do with Sakuya's life span why Meiling was crying

    It's too dramatic a dialogue.
This seems to be take on a mortal Meiling, having been mortally wounded.
She drove of or defeated all the invaders, and she does not want to cause Sakuya any worries when she pass away.
What gives such notion is the expression and tear in the colored panel.
She feels too sad and pained for something that would be alright with some days of rest.

I dearly hope not cause I will cry no manly tears but out right baby baww.

What I am hoping for is what I interpret from his earlier works, it seem Meiling changes when angry or in serious danger from post #459136 (assuming that horn is a horn). So I am more hoping its Sakuya worried that Meiling will lose herself in her anger, and also the fact that Meiling is in danger and she(Sakuya) cannot help her for whatever reason. Meiling said she hasn't been well for a while so maybe its genuine concern for Meiling getting injured.

Could be but I doubt Meiling would have been able to ward her off without Sakuya or Remi's help, then again Meiling is badly injured, could be some guy with an army thought he could take the mansion that only has 1 guard out front, its anyones guess, I was all for it being Eirin till I saw the knife an broken blade in Meiling's back

No, that's okay. It's all just menial labor anyway.
I see, I'll leave it to you then. Don't overdo it.
    Sure.
You get some sleep tonight Sakuya-san.
You haven't been feeling well lately.
    *bump*
    Sakuya-san.
    Meiling.
    What are you doing there?
I'm glad you're here. I was just about to go look for you.
    You're a mess.
Yes, but it's been dealt with.
I just wanted to tell you that there's still some things to take care of so I won't be coming back tonight...
    Of course I did.
I heard there was a fight at the gate.
    Thank you.
    It won't come off.
...Are you listening to me? Sakuya-san.
    I'm listening; that sounds rough.
Is there anything I can help with?
    Got it.
    That tickled.
    You noticed?
How many years do you think we've been together?
    I'll be mindful.
    Thank you.
    I'd better go.
    ...Yes.
    ...Seriously, don't...
    ...overdo it, okay?
    ...Okay.
    ...Okay.
