Actually..they HAVE revealed dragons. Or at least a dragon. Canonically, one is the highest ranked god, and last appeared at the time of the formation of the Hakurei barrier. There's a statue of it in the human village so people can worship it.

Eh.. Kasen has control over a small dragon, so maybe it's possible that Meiling is a young dragon-turned youkai..
