For some context on the recent events, an advertisement for Getsuyoubi no Tawawa in the Nikkei, one of Japan's largest newspapers caused a bit of a stir online, and the UN Women Japan office published a statement condemning it. The newspaper is part of the "unstereotype alliance", an UN project to promote gender equality and it was thought that the ad was going against their supposed principles.
