Hmm that makes 2 ships from the new french event so far, the HMS Enterprise and now l'Indomptable, how many ships do we think this event will have in grand total when all reveals are done? Just asking cause so far neither of the girls have been my cup of tea (Atleast not as much as previous ones, they aren't something I'd call bad) which is odd to say cause up to this point i've been a big fan of 90%+ of Royal Navy (HMS Enterprise) and pretty much all french designs, so want to know how many chances I have left to potentially see something I'd want to pull for.

It depends
This could be like the last Sardegna Empire Event, with only 3 ships, or like another "major" event of minor factions (like, 5 ships)

Hope its not a minor event, the french need some love considering how big their navy was, only reason they weren't a major naval power was history going absolutely down the drain for them at the time, i'd love to see 5 ships for them.

Unfortunately, this has been confirmed to be a raid event which is a type of minor event. Think back to Essex and Taihou's original run.

That said, I agree with you: the French deserve a major event soon, maybe even a UR. Same goes for the Italians who had a navy you can't scoff at, held back by poor management and fuel constraints rather than material inferiority.
