5 months old post, but I believe that material isnt as strechy as pantyhoses usually are, and because of that they stay up better. In some cases it may have some shaping purposes, making the wearers ass look rounder.

Does not matter if it is five months old, I still check if anyone has responded to my posts... Occasionally.

But that sounds fair enough. I hate garter belts so it is a very good substitute.
