I've always wondered about that. Supposedly having a Persona of a matching arcana has a "multiplier" effect on your relationship. So having a Fortune related Persona with Naoto, for example, helps your relationship build more quickly. I suppose the obvious conclusion is that it alters your personality to be more in line with the other persons.

But how would mara (megami tensei) affect your personality? Not to mention all the murderous, psychopathic demons you can summon.

"Extreme" is still pretty subjective though.

It's a stretch to call it "extreme" when it's no more graphic than most horror movies, M-rated videogames, or even the average episode of South Park. For some reason people turn incredibly squeamish when they come to Danbooru.

I don't think such material from those sources would be Danbooru material either.

I actually find this to be incredibly amusing, but I'm odd... In any case, people probably wouldn't be bitching if it were a female, which they almost certainly thought it was before clicking on it. Hence, it's most likely people who are just pissed because it's two males. Which makes me wonder why it doesn't have a male tag.
