Unpopular opinion(?), I think I like Oshi no Ko much better as a cute story about an idol mom and her kids than the core story after Ai got killed

Also unpopular opinion. I personally would have liked it more if it was more mystery centered story with Aqua as the main character and the Idol stuff just happened in the background. Maybe Death Note kinda vibes. It seemed halfway through the story, we kept flipping back and forth between Aqua having a fake love triangle story and a fake Slice of life story where we only get reminded sometimes that Aqua was doing his own thing in the background.

Maybe unpopular opinion, I actually liked how the story ended. Not how it got there, but I think the ending was well done.

And the fact we were all hurt by it means a lot.

I think Aka needs to learn to stick to a more cohesive idea of what he wants his stories to be.
