Flan's pretty pleased with herself still. Hope Suwako can teach her a bit of humility. (And is it just me, or has there been no reaction from Kanako about all this?)

I'm not denying that... it's a nice touch showing that she's more than a somewhat unhinged ageless child. And it's one in a series of clever ideas that the ladies have used thus far, Kaguya's manipulations and Yuuka's use of Cirno against Suwako standing out in my mind.

When a character is portrayed as a brat, however, I usually find myself wishing they receive some comeuppance. While I'm unfamiliar with Kinnikuman, I doubt the shounen storytelling device of "lessons can be learned from a good thrashing" was never used in it. I won't stop reading this strip if that doesn't happen though, heh.

I'm worried about them asking Eirin to help treat Sanea's injuries. Can she be trusted to help a potential future opponent?

She is a doctor first and also saving Sanae is a good publicity thing as I think Kaguya is about to manipulate.

Well I am not too worried for Sanae now since she realizes that she is having a flash back, if Komachi shows up then we can panic. Yukari must be doing one helluva job to keep Kanako calm

Honestly, if the team with the only actual martial artist on it gets knocked out in their first fight, I will call major shenanigans. Everyone else only started practicing suplexes and whatnot over a few months, at most; Meiling's been practicing her whole, long life.

That said, I bet they'll still end up losing, since Reimu and Remilia obviously aren't getting knocked out any time soon.

Well that is what I like about this series. Meiling and Flandre are actually one of the strongest teams. Meiling is at an advantage vs most other competitors.

If Flan can do something smart, Suwako can win the match on her own.

She's a doctor first then a competitor. And in the match with Mokou shows, she can handle herself rather well in the ring.

Martial Arts =/= Wrestling

It's like the same issue of Mixed Martial Arts vs Wrestling, so being the best martial artist doesn't necessarily assure you victory if you fight Wrestling.

If anything, one can say that the problem isn't Meiling's skills, if they lose, there is a high probability of it being because of Flan's inexperience, it nearly costed them the match and ironically if it wasn't for Sanae not wanting to win so easily and with such an obvious move, they would had lose the match already.

So it isn't much of Shenanigans and more about Meiling making sure that Flan won't screw up in some way (either rule breaking for overdoing it or being out performed in wrestling matters, like getting pinned and she not realizing it until it's late) Flan wit won't save her if she lets her inexperience and innocence pull a bad move on her.
