When "Ai-chan" was merely an I-cup, on Sono 39, her bust was confirmed as 97 cm (38"). She then teased her "Onii-san" that she would need to change her name to "J-chan" because of her growing bust size. On Sono 100, her bust was celebrated by Yolley-bu-chan as 100 cm (39") and a K-cup. Going by Japanese bra sizes, a P-cup would be 113 cm (44½"), and a T-cup would be 123 cm (48").

Okay, but does the bustline in this image look like it's 123cm in circumference? Just spitting out some numbers isn't actually very useful here, because most of us can't just eyeball an image and immediately translate that into a measurement number.

Ooba Minori canonically wears an O-cup bra (in fact, before she got an actual name, she was originally known as "O-cup chan" - she was the "Oh-chan" before there ever was an "Ai-chan"). Ooba's artist isn't too terribly consistent with how big they draw her in practice, but the linked image seems to be close to the middle of the sizes she's drawn at, and is about what I personally picture when I think of "O-cup" breasts. However, even at Ooba's smallest, they're still each a little bit bigger than her head, while the supposedly T-cup Ai-chan being imagined here has breasts that are each a little bit smaller than her head, despite a nominal bra size that's 5 sizes bigger than Ooba's.

Then you have to factor in that Ooba is 174cm tall - a full 25 centimeters taller than Ai's 149cm. I'm far from an expert in how cup sizes relate to band sizes, but based on what I've managed to pick up, the same cup size on a smaller frame should be smaller in terms of literal mass and volume, but bigger in proportion to the rest of the body. So whatever size we decide is accurate for the O-cup Ooba, a P-cup or especially T-cup Ai should be substantially bigger, at least relative to the rest of her body.

So to me, it seems like Himura is vastly underestimating how big O+ cup breasts would actually be, and a more accurate depiction of a P-cup or T-cup Ai would be closer to this. But for all I actually know, maybe this is actually spot-on and I'm the one who's wildly overestimating late-alphabet sizes instead, and that's the conundrum: one of us hasn't done our homework, but which one?
