    A Constant Ray of Hope For Them

    Graf, who says that only hatred can keep her alive, wishes deep in her heart that someone would rescue her from such a destructive thought. Her delusion is that it is Enterprise that will fulfill her wish. That's why she calls it a "unceasing" ray of hope.

    I hope that these two will become friends after their various clashes.

    Enterprise is the antithesis of what Graf is.

    Enterprise was made in a time where Aircraft Carriers were untested and unproven, a time when their roles were not yet clear or even thought viable. Graf was expected to be a powerhouse in the Atlantic.

    Enterprise forged her legend in the blood and flames of combat while Graf sat there unfinished.

    Enterprise was there when the war started and was the first ship to sink an enemy vessel, the submarine I-70, and went on to see the end of the war having sunk 17% of the IJN and damaged a lot more. Graf never even had the chance to start hers.

    Graf knew the hatred of being left unfinished, being alone and being forsaken, while Enterprise pushed on even when she lost all her sisters and a lot of her friends even being severely damaged to be near the point of sinking multiple times.
