AL Amagi is the lead ship of the Amagi-class battlecruisers (also, Akagi's sister). KC Amagi is the 2nd ship of the Unryuu-class aircraft carriers. Azur Lane recently implemented the Essex-class carriers Yorktown and Hornet, the Independence-class carrier Langley, the Oregon City-class command cruiser Northampton, and the Edsall-class destroyer escort Hammann and made it so that they are pretty much the same person as their earlier counterparts (much to Enterprise's chagrin). Given that AL Akagi is an absolute fucking psycho and is very protective of her older sister, making it so that Amagi is no longer Akagi's sister would have some... interesting consequences to say the least...
I know about the Amagi-class Battlecruiser thing, but in Azur Lane universe, you can litteraly have two version of the same ship co-existing (Like Belfast and Little Bel for example) so I don't see why Amagi (Battlecruiser) and Amagi (Carrier) could not co-exist either. It would allow for some interesting shenanigans with Akagi, for sure.

The game already has CV Kaga and BB Kaga; no reason why the same can't apply for Amagi.
