Heard about the rumours though about a 'possible' Dissidia 2. Wouldn't mind. Just hope there's a huge roster. Like... 2 main protagonists and 2 villians from each series. Co-op would also be pretty fuckwin (excuse my language)
Replace Vaan with Balthier or Fran. Tingle and Navi combined are less annoying than him. Mostly because nobody ever pretended they were main characters.
Basch was always intended to be the main character of XII but Square shat themselves at the last minute because last game that had a 'manly' main character sold like balls, so they shoved Vaan and Penelo in purely to be viewpoints

For FF2: Emperor + Leon (I know Leon became the last 4th character, but remember he was a brainwashed villian all along the story)
For FF6: Kefka + Gesthal (You suck for adding Leo, he was never a villian, in fact he died for defending what was right)
For FF7: Don't be dumb, Sephiroth + Kadaj Oh, and don't forget to add Zack and not a girl like Tifa
For FF9: I guess Belatrix would be a good choice, but much like Jecth, she was never actually a villian, just an opponent. I'd add maybe a Black Waltz, but really powered up. Does anyone else think that Freya & Bellatrix are the only good choices as female heroes for this game?
And finally... could they add Sora + Rikku & Xemnas + Axel pretty please? XD
They'd probably would be better off adding a Neutral side. Guys brought in by another Entity altogether, to do... something. Something that transcends the conflict.

First Final Fantasy should have a Black mage. For IV, I was thinking of putting Kain on Chaos' side, and Rosa on Cosmos'. V, obvously GILGAMESH. VI, make Celes on Chaos thanks to Kefka messing around and Locke on Cosmos (and make Terra use her freaking sword more often). VII, Zack would have almost the same move set as Cloud, so Tifa makes more sense. As for the bad guy... uh, not sure... Rufus, maybe? IX, Vivi.

I remember reading somewhere that if there's a Dissidia 2, Kain from FFIV will be on it (coming from one of the heads of the game). Also they wanted to add Lightning too, but I can't remember what happened and because of that they discarded the idea.

Dissidia came out before FFXIII. If they add Lightning in the roster, her moves would be "locked", meaning we will remember her moves in Dissidia first instead of her main game, like the others, thats why they didn't add her. That's what they said...

I was under the impression that they originally intended Vaan himself to be a manly badass, but then pussified him to draw in the female audience.

(Xande summoned CoD) FFIV:Cecil&(Rosa/Kain/Rydia/Edge, whatever floats your boat) /Gobez&Kain or A four fiends tag team. (it would be awesome.) FFV:Bartz&Galuf/Gilgamesh(ftw)&Exdeath FFVI:Terra&Locke(Locke just fits better than Celes)/Kefka and not Gestahl, he's not a fighter. FFXIII:Lightning&Snow(or Fang)/Cid&Bartandelus Remember that all hero's and villains in Dissidia know each other personally; (save for a few) All of them have a link; so you have to add a hero and a villain that are linked, such as Rosa and Kain, You can't just say "TIFA AND RUFAS LOLOL," Because that wouldn't make any sense;(not that anyone here has said that)Especially when there is much more background to Zach and Genesis, or Hojo and Vincent. Every character aside from a select few (Pre-FF4 games that have little story) has a link with their villain- of course, so remember these words when you think about what characters should be in the game. Also, the Kingdom hearts idea sounds awesome, but I doubt it would work. Terra needs to use her sword more often, and Vaan is annoying as hell, are we all happy?
Since everyone else seems to ignore or dislike FFXI, I'll just throw in my opinion. I remember hearing Prishe was considered instead of Shantotto for Dissidia and I think she'd do well in a sequel. On the enemy side, Shadow Lord would be interesting, but he's kinda big. They could probably have him as Raogrimm in regular and Shadow Lord in EX Mode. Another person on the enemy side, or maybe hero, I dunno really, could be Balrahn. He'd have enough attack variations to be interesting to play with.
