Probably harsher. Don't know which tech site I saw the article, but is at least some major companies working on making it so that singers can be digitized so that an AI version will allow for businesses to have those singers' voice singing whatever songs they create into perpetuity. I think part of that project is using it to recreate the singing voices of deceased singers.

Million Live idols also work as actresses in their universe and they're acting out the roles of androids gaining sentience and hunted down by the large corporate creator in the story.
