@Neozigma I suppose what they're talking about would be the dragon god of Gensokyo, said to be on a level above the gods (like Kanako and Suwako) and every single youkai (including Yakumo). Apparently, he embodies the lands of Gensokyo themselves and is the very force of creation and destruction. Made from what is referred to as the three perfect elements of the world and controlling the world with the ten powers, the dragon god brings change to a stagnant world and continues the cycles that bring life to it.
TLDR: The dragon god is said to be the highest magnitude of gods, able to bring creation and destruction to the world itself.
But this is still silly. Why in the world are we arguing power levels and going serious business? Just enjoy the darn silliness of the crossover and be done with it.

I think even if Kratos died, somehow got past Eiki's judgment, and came back with cooler weapons, it still won't work out for him in this world... Not like anyone ever really escapes Eiki's judgment anyway, it just gets delayed (due to a lack of boat service).

Now personally, I am not a fan or hater of Kratos, but I would like to point out that he is definitely strong enough to take on any of the Gensokyo Gods with his bare hands.

I'm pretty sure the problem is many Gensokyo chars have DBZ-esque OPness. Some like Remilia,Yukari,flandre,and Yuyuko probably have the power to kill him without fighting him.

I dunno what your definition of human is but Kratos isn't a human no matter what anyone says. If he can lift a 4000 pound support beam and whack a monster with it he doesn't come close to meeting the criteria of a human. The greek gods were by far better than the gods in whatever this is. In UNL Suwak mentions in Japan theres 8 million Gods so its hard to turn down potential worshipers in the making. Greece probably had less than that. So 8 million vs one Kratos lol

*sigh* And this illustrates a lack of understanding of a BIG difference between Shinto mythology and greek mythology..."kami" are not on the level of Greek Gods. Nor do they neccessarily even have alot of power. True, you get ones like the seven gods of fortune and Amaterasu, but most kami are not THAT powerful. The Aki sisters are shinto gods as well, remember.
BTW, the whole "8 million gods" idea is a way to express the idea that there are a potentially infinite ammount of kami.

Kratos is pretty much the ultimate Mary Sue protagonist of RAAAAAAAAAAGE. Make him mortal, weak, and dead, he'll find someway to get you. When he actually faces you, you through one way or another lose nearly all sense of strategy, skill, and power proven through feats and omnipotence, and then get your body ravaged. Even when you have no reason to become nothing more than smears on the wall.
Seriously, even Berserker/Hercules in Fate/Stay Knight has more finesse than most GOW bosses.

That's because it's not really worth debating since we all know the real outcome anyway. Also, for those of you thinking Kratos could kill the omnipotent Dragon, Seriously? I don't think Kratos would bother going after the dragon. It doesn't usually reveal itself does it? As far as I'd know he's probably still be focusing on the gods from his realm and try to find his way back to Olympus. And of course, kill anything on the way back if it gets in his way.
As for destroying the dragon, I'm pretty sure that if Kratos did manage to destroy it, it would only destroy that which sustains life in Gensokyo, as his realm and their realm are two different dimensions, and whatever happens in their realm isn't gonna affect Olympus unless there is a physical link that connects the two worlds. *No Kratos isn't that physical link. He just happens to be in Gensokyo.
I love Touhou, but I just think Kratos' badassery is too much for whatever Gensokyo can throw at him.

That is actually pretty much what he does for more or less the entire series of games he's in... He's pretty much an anti-hero minus basically anything actually heroic, he's more or less become a villain protagonist by the current time.

I don't know much about touhou, but I am pretty damn sure from what I've read about their powers a lot of the so called godosses of gensokyo are broken as hell. So saying they would stand no chance in a non-danmaku fight is kind of dumb. He'd be a bit dumbfounded by how Moukou's immortality, and wouldn't know what to do against beings like Yukari.
On the otherhand, I do see him being capable of beating many of the characters in touhou! Not sure about flandre, and the like though.
But I could be wrong, either way, this whole, "So-and-so automatically wins for being more badass!" or, "so-and-so wins for being cuter!" is dumb. :|

After all related to Greek mythology are considered fiction by us now, Kratos got his place in Gensoukyou..
Gensoukyou, to me, is like one sanctuary for all myths, folklores, legends & tales. If we can meet Kratos here, we'll meet other things & characters from dozens of media like Alucard, Thor, Knights of Round Table, USS Eldridge, Amber Room, Merlin, etc.
Debating on who owns who is not really necessary (make your own fic if you want to). Just enjoy the crossover...
