And I'm at a loss for how to deal with the rest. Kanji that are too small to puzzle out, crazy sentences, and technical terms I don't know and can't look up. If someone who can actually read Japanese well wants to finish this, please do.

Hey this is a pretty nifty tutorial. It's making my drawings look more from an anime.

    When it says
"Take a copy of the blended original and multiplied layers and set it to screen."

Anyone who has actually done it know exactly what to do to make it look like the screen one?

    Normal

    Multiply
Take a copy of the blended original and multiplied layers and set it to screen.
Extra: Gradation (addition) + 0.5px blur + Diffusion Filter + Star Effect (addition)
    Lighten
    Pre-diffusion original
For comparison, a version with just the glow.
    Diffusion: Supplement
    After applying the diffusion filter
This filter only takes a minute.
In anime, a considerable amount of diffusion filter is added to the scene to soften the drawing. I had made a tutorial for reproducing this effect before, but it was dull and difficult to understand, so I'm doing a supplementary one.
Last time the process was complicated, but this time the glow is much simpler. You can also skip steps by setting the screen blur to multiply (although this will make the whole thing bright).
