It was tagged on pixiv as MW2 with a m4a1 tag, although i do agree that being that specific is really unecessary. I tagged it that way just to be safe, As far as there being anything specifically CoD about this picture, yes, he's camping.

1. Changed for M4_carbine. Click it and you will wonder how many properly tagged pictures there are.

2. Specific tags are awesome as long as there is a group of enthusiasts on Danbooru that keeps identifying the weapons, tagging them and unifying the tags. I often find myself looking for a specific tag and I'm always pleased to find that someone disagreed with you on the thing it's "unnecessary".

3. Some Japanese artists draw realistic cars, some draw planes and some weapons. All this deserves to be searchable. That's what tags are for, and as long as they are unified and intuitive, there's never too many of them.

I think for most purposes having one tag for all AR-15 variants would be enough. I'm not against having M4 carbine though.

What we aren't shown is the guy behind him typing a message to the sniper, just waiting for him to turn around so he can stab him.

Agreed, Or it's Search and Destroy and he is DEFENDING a bomb or something, if he was attacking, then yeah he's a 'camper'

This tends to happen a lot in Bad Company 2 as well.

It is not a realistic painting.
It is shopped photo. So, it is better to remove "realistic" tag.

The M4A1 is not even right a fact that this picture was tagged as Modern Warfare 2. It uses the standard M5 Carbine RAS (KAC M5) which is the standard to most of M4A1 SOPMOD. The one in MW2 was FAB Defense VFR RAS. The RIS Cover was wrong as well, it covered the holes in the RIS which is used to vaporize the gas to prevent overheating. And the Brass-deflector is too small. There are a few more errors but most of you can tell it by just looking at the gun.

M4: It's like barbie dolls for men. You can just slap on at buttload of accessories and make it look different everytime
