He lived life peacefully, too lazy to checked, but I do seem to remember seeing a glimpsed of him back when Goku was trying to gather energy for the spirit bomb during the fight with Buu. Then again, they showed alot of old characters that were grown up so maybe not.

He indeed appears along with the red haired girl (Suno I think).
Yeah, he appeared again when Goku asked the whole world for help. Same goes to the other side casts like the Inca father and son, and also No. 17.
Speaking of which, thinking back, it might have given a better impression to me if Goku managed to summon enough energy from people he knows instead of having Mr Satan taking the glory with his popularity. After all, he's the main cast.
What we missed seeing in that very scene was the wolf/fox president who acknowledged the savior of the world (During Picollo's father's era) being a teenager. If I recalled it right, he was seen in the tv series in the beginning of the Z series, telling his people to pray for the nameless teenager to save them from the crisis at hand.
