True but Typhlosion is suppose to be the best out off all four, being the fastest and just a fire type giving it less disadvantage out of all three.

So what if Typhlosion is in essence a big fat fire-breathing badger? I'd take him and Charizard over your generic fire-breathing chicken any day. I don't even want to discuss the monkey.

...Of course, I'm partial to Generations I and II, mind you.

And can any other fire starters learn Thunderpunch, Earthquake, or Iron Tail like Typhlosion could in G/S/C? I don't recall, but it certainly cemented my love for him from then on.

So, I'm thinking the basic jist of this is that Typhlosion was all:
"Hey, wazzup Gold?"
Then Gold was all:
"..."
"..."
Then Typhlosion got all pissy and used, I dunno, fire spin or something. Then he complained to Kotone, who then told him about all the other fire-type starters, and Gold's all:
"*thinking* What the hell? Those are all major kickass."
So, Typhlosion decided to try and be the best fire starter he could be.

Am I wrong?? A translation could solve this.

ALL of the starters can learn Earthquake from Gen II on. And Thunderpunch is learnable by all 4 Fire Starters, I think.

I don't care, Typhlosion is my second favorite evolved starter from all games
