Obviously this picture is a refrence to the fact that these two characters share a seiyu... and many character traits. Saya may well be a template for Yurippe.

Actually, they're not dead, they're dying. They're trapped in a bus that is about to explode. In one possible end, the bus explodes with everyone else in it; in the True End, they are all saved. As time is frozen in a loop, everyone is in the same state.
Also, as a point of interest, Aya/Saya is never dead, though she comes very close to dying and then accesses the other-world in the time loop
