Yeah, finally. I was waiting for this. And it looks like the oni are going to struggle for a bit longer. Now the question remains. Will Sakuya escape that hold, or will she fall?

Sakuya is pretty skillful with technical wrestling. Still, a scissored sleeper hold is hard to get out of if you're not blessed with super strength.

Well, from Aya's comment I take it that Orin's actually committing a foul, so if she actually knocks Sakuya out like this Saku/Sui may win by default.

While a youkai can survive even with a broken neck, a human might just get killed if she really got a crushed throat. Orin applying more pressure to her grip might just give the suggestion that she is going to do what she said.

But if she just knocks Sakuya out, would that be foul?

Anyone else think that the Oni should have more stamina than they've displayed thus far? For creatures so legendarily feared by other youkai, I'd imagine they could fight each other in giant form for days on end.

Maybe the barrier has something to do with it? Perfect Momento in Strict Sense claimed there were special advanced techniques for humans to exterminate even oni, though they've been forgotten.

Either that, or Suika and Yuugi are holding back so as to not destroy everything/render the competition pointless.

It's just that the artist needed to limit them if they were going to fight other characters. It's obvious that only the gods and the youkai sages would be able to keep up with them otherwise.

A wrestling match without Gensokyos famous onis would have been pitiful, but it would have been even more boring if the oni just steamrolled the competition right?

Still, it does seem too unnatural for such monsters to be out of stamina after I read their descriptions in Double Spoiler.

The Onis were not only fighting each other, but they grew early on, and this whole time, the barrier has been nullifying their powers. As Flan showed, more of them means more power is drained from them. They tired themselves out early with their kaijuu brawl. Remember, the barrier's strong enough that the girls can't even fly in it, and that's like, the most basic of abilities. *Everybody* can fly. The match has been going on for....Well, we don't know, but let's call it ten to fifteen minutes, counting the time Suika and Yuugi were re-enacting scenes from Power Rangers.

Also, one would assume that inside the barrier, they're not only using up their power, it's not being replenished either. What we have here is a 'Running on batteries' scenario. Outside the barrier, everyone's on the mains...they can run out, but they'll soon have their full charge back. Inside, they're running on only what they brought in with them, and even that's being suppressed.

I don't much see outside of direct interference from the sponsors there is anything but a bullshit way out of it.

I think something has been missed here in the clusterfutz of the last few strips: particularly that Yuugi is still the legal member of the team, I believe. Orin never tagged in, from what I saw.

Then again, I've lost track if tags are still being adhered to at all at this rate.

Yuugi never was tagged in. She first got involved during a pin and it went from there.

I think Aya was going to call a foul for Yuugi leaving the corner but then she saw Suika was up.
