    Japanese uniforms. At that time period, pretty much all armies wore riding boots and tunics, and red cap bands/insignia have always been common.

    that's cause they didn't have armor and some places, like Poland, still used horses.

    i meant body armor. again though, Poland pretty much sucked, all they had was horses.
