Ripped off from AIR TV my ass. It's a too generic cliché to be from AIR, and I've seen a lot of other images that more closely correspond to this than anything I've ever seen in AIR TV (nor the movie). Like I said, this is very cliché.
Chill out everybody. Piro did wings for all the femal characters. Miho's a little off-kilt as compared to the others, and she often seems cold and mechanical. The picture itself is called Broken Miho. comment #20769 Why would you consider this crap?
Piro lists Air and Haibane Renmei as some of his main inspirations. It's not a stretch to suppose he loves doing images like this to directly reference ideas/metaphors from shows he loves. Just look at some of his Omake work.
How about you all stop gabbing about what inspired it and just enjoy the art. Obviously you clicked on the thumbnail for a reason. If that reason was flaming, gtfo.
