Because of the strange nature of their parents, One's human and the other is a ghost. Youki is serious as Youmu, Hiyume is mischievous and gluttonous as Yuyuko. They share the same brink of life or something. Also, they are not holding Youmu's swords.

From the doujinshi that they appear in I got the impression that they’re either the same being (like Youmu) or at least have linked bodies. In one scene Hiyume hurts her head and Youki also feels the pain.
