You could make the argument that they became genetic parts of organisms and therefore he would be able to obtain one and see them, but Kars never used a stand in any canonical source. Stands are not viruses, they are fighting spirit made manifest. Yes, there's a virus in/on the Stand Arrows but it just awakens the fighting spirit.
Jotaro, Joseph, Holly, and Josuke never touched any of the arrows, yet they all awakened their Stands in sympathetic resonance with Jonathan's body when DIO stabbed himself with an arrow. Giorno and the gang retained their own Stands when Chariot Requiem switched everyone's souls around. The only way the above statements can work is if Stands are part of the Soul, not some organism.
