    コロラド誕生秘話2/3

    日本は当時の最強戦艦「陸奥」が条約前にギリギリ完成したと主張。
    英米は「じゃあ俺らもバランスとって16インチ戦艦保有するわ」と成り、コロラド生存ルートに入りました。
    なお最強戦艦は 日１：英米１だったのが 日２：英米5と成ってしまい、かえって不利になったとも言われます。
    とはいえ イギリスはどう転んでも何か仕掛けてきそうですけどね。

    So... Japan tried to sneak Mutsu into the Washington Naval Treaty but the US decided to let it slide and just finish West Virginia in response.

    Given the benefit of hindsight, I don't think the Japanese got the better of this deal.
