That would be awesome!
It would also make a scary amount of sense:
- Ika's body is really weak, except for the tentacles, which makes no sense, unless the tentacles are the real invader and the girl is just a human puppet with only the strength of a normal human girl.
- It would also explain why she thought she was drowning in episode 2 even though she lives underwater and should be able to breathe just fine if the human host was the one in danger of drowning and the invader just suffered sympathy pain/sensations.
- In episode 1 she thought the brother was a comrade just because of the hat, which suddenly makes sense if the real invader is just a squid creature on a human's head!
If this was true then the only thing keeping Ika Musume from conquering the surface is her child-like stupidity and lack of numbers (she could only posess one person at a time). If she were clever she could just abandon the little girl's body and possess Chizuru with her freakish martial arts speed an she'd be set to at least conquer the restaurant!
