I assume people downvoted me for being racially insensitive, but that was not my intent and I didn't anticipate that it could be perceived that way.
I am simply pointing out that the markings do not correspond to her normal dress or something she might wear, even given the flamboyant clothing style of the region/game.
Regardless of what is being said in the racial discourse, they are clearly meant to be body markings in her official design. If an artist somehow mistook them as tanlines and it's obvious they're being portrayed that way, we would tag it with tanlines regardless of canon, but I don't see sufficient evidence of this being the case here.
