i never hated relena, i had a crush on her when i was little. Shes still hot. I dont know why people dont like her, just cause she doesnt have an ounce of badass in her? Thats the kind of girl you want to marry, hot, rich, uber head over heels loyal, and couldve been essentially Queen of Earth.

And she was constantly leaving Heero surprised and speechless. Sure she can't physically fight (which would be stupid if she did considering she's advocating peace) but Bitch is spartan at heart and that's what keeps attracting Heero to her.

Meh.. I really like do Lacus but even 'I' have to admit that she is quite the Sue. There isn't many noteworthy flaws that she has. Relena however developed greatly. She went from spoiled high school brat, to queen of the world, to eventually being the main peace representative of both the earth and colonies; and she did it all as a 15 year old girl. Can you imagine how many serious death threats she gets on her life daily, considering her position and what she symbolizes to the world. Not only does she deal with such shit all the time but she has the courage and intelligence to remain calm and collected; even when people shoot at her or kidnap her. In fact, her job is the hardest one of all considering that she can't fight back out of principle (but will slap someone when they need a reality check) Most teenagers would have had a mental fucking breakdown if they were int the same position. Relena is fucking hard core when one really thinks about it.

Not just that, but said girls also take away the yaoi-ness factor these shows tend to exude, and the fangirls hate the female characters just for that purpose.
Personally, I find Relena very attractive in her own way. Like many of you guys said she isn't some dame in distress, she's very independent and could be cute if she wanted to be. Also she's willing to put her life on the line in the name of peace. Her character developed greatly from start to finish from a common rich girl to Queen of Earth to Foreign Peace Administrator for Earth and the Space Colonies all in the span of 1-2years. She sort of remnds me of the ideas of what MLK stood for "peace and equally for everyone". I was never fond of Lacus, she's good to look at of course, but she doesn't serve any good purpose within SEED compare to Relena in Wing.
