Not really. If anything, fanartists tend to draw characters moe. By the way, the dojin this scan came from is about a decade old, perhaps a little more, IIRC.

Oh man, 90s doujins. They always look so incredibly shitty.

I especially mourn the period from 2000-2004(maybe '05) that was before the doujinshi explosion. So many excellent series got almost no love because of the time they were released.
