Then that would mean, that Flan wants to be saved from her insanity.
Reasons is, her "imagined" is pretty normal by youkai standards, and her projecting it means, that that is one of her biggest desires.

That or she slaughtered the other SDM residents and now their souls are trapped in those crystals.
