The mantis, simply put, is emotionless until she captures a man, tears off all his clothes, and rapes him. Afterwards, she'll be very lovey-dovey, and will refuse to allow the man to leave, wanting to make love with him daily. She will also go out to hunt for animals, and slice their throats with her blades.

1 in 3 mating usually result in the female eating the male from what I remember. The female eating the male is suppose to ensure that female gets the extra protein needed to produce healthy offspring. A noble sacrifice for a father to be to ensure his young to have a fighting chance.
i don´t think that monstergirls eat a man after mating with him because many want a man at her side as husband, slave or whatever they wish. killing humans without a good reason is a sinn for monstergirls and it would be a waste to kill a good man if he have feelings for the monstergirl that have sex with him and like human children also monstergirl children want to have a father or know who he is.
Yeah, no monster girls actually eat humans in Kenkou Cross' world.
Although, before Lilith (Succubus Queen) became the new Demon Lord they did apparently. When they were all regular monsters instead of Monster Girls that is.
Order of previous Demon Lord/Divinities - Attack humans, be on top of food chain. Order of current Demon Lord - Merge Monsters and humans (Males humans, females monsters)
Conflicts between the two orders (change is gradual) makes it so it's now - Attack Humans, Merge Monsters and humans (via reproduction)
Doesn't work all that well so far though since Monster Girls only ever give birth to more Monster Girls (so no males), making human males indispensable to monsters. So taking that into account, Mantis would be no different, her monster instincts go above her being a mantis.
